The HCA Group facilities are geographically dispersed and expanding. Therefore, to meet the needs of the evolving organization, we are committed to offering a blended learning approach which mixes traditional classroom learning with online solutions, with both in-house and external specialists; and universities. Whilst our provision is predominantly centralised, we manage ad-hoc requests at a local level for Team Development, 121 Coaching and Myers Briggs Personality Profiling.
GPS/Consultants (Physicians)
We offer a variety seminars ranging from inviting overseas international specialist speakers to workshops briefing our Allied Health Professionals on the new services or procedures within the hospitals. These are organised at a local level and tailored to the specialist areas of the hospitals. These include Orthopaedic Masterclasses, Innovations in Plastic Surgery, to Brain seminars, to Live Surgery Events and Latest Advances in Cancer Management.
Clinical employees (Nurses)
We have a Clinical Education Centre which delivers a variety of clinical courses such as, Phlebotomy Workshop, Infection Control, Meditech, Blood Transfusion, IV Therapy and Child Protection. We also support externally delivered clinical courses such as Intensive Care Courses, Urology for Ward Nurses, Nursing Leadership and MScs in Cardiology, with links to the Kings College and Thames Valley Universities.
Clinical employees can also develop their Leadership Skills through the All of Us Personal Development Programme, Presenting with Impact and Conflict Resolution courses.
