Position Summary:	We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our enthusiastic nursing team at London Bridge Hospital. Our busy cardiac unit has 24 beds and admits patients undergoing interventional cardiology, electrophysiology ,cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, some renal and vascular patients You will need to be an experienced competent senior staff nurse working in an acute cardiac/cardiothoracic ward, with a post registration qualification in cardiac nursing. You should hold a relevant post-registration teaching course and be confident in the use of IT . Excellent communication skills are key to this role. We offer the opportunity to develop leadership and management skills as you will work closely with the senior team to ensure the effective management of the unit and its resources. • To provide Excellent Clinical Leadership • Significant experience in Cardiac and or Thoracic Nursing required • Relevant qualification in Cardiac Nursing Ongoing training and development provided
General Responsibility:	• To provide support to the Manager and the team • Co-ordinate the 24 bed ward on a daily basis. • Demonstrate excellent clinical skills and promote best practice. • Provide support and education to the ward team while promoting a stimulating learning environment.
Requirements	• RGN Level 1 • Cardiac experience • Previous ward management experience • Good decision making skills • Excellent people management skills • Strong leadership skills • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work under pressure • Team player • ALS course • Evidence of continuous professional and personal development • Computer literate
