Position Summary: An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Staff Nurse to join the Psychiatric team at The Princess Grace. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity. Deputising for senior colleagues, this is a position of some responsibility, directing the clinical team where appropriate to ensure provision of a streamlined, quality service to all our patients.
General
Responsibility:

 To demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and to be accountable for own actions
 Prioritising workloads and directing staff accordingly
 Make efficient use of available resources
 Regularly deputise for Sister, providing management and leadership in her absence
 Promote team working
 Assess, plan and deliver care, based on individual patient and family needs
 Evaluate care of the team and ensure standards are met
 Respect and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
 Support and act as role model for junior staff, promoting a learning environment
 Ensure equipment is in good working order
 To maintain accurate records of patient care
 Provide patients and families with information regarding the care and management of their condition
 Responsible for the control storage and administration of drugs
 Involvement in projects as required
 To carry out nursing duties as requested by senior staff

Requirements A currently registered mental Health Nurse, the ideal candidate is likely to have a number of year’s post-registration experience. They will have superb communication skills, be able to multi task and have good leadership qualities. Commitment to excellence, customer care and quality initiatives are prerequisite. Computer literacy is essential but full training will be given.
