HCA NHS Ventures is responsible for developing private patient units by forming partnerships between NHS Trusts and HCA International. With the team headquarters based at Shropshire House on Tottenham Court Road, London, the division is focussed upon developing joint ventures around the UK and offers exciting opportunities to work in a private patient setting alongside the NHS.
Harley Street at UCH is our partnership with UCLH, formed in 2006. Based on level 15 in the tower at UCLH, the 18 bed acute facility is a specialist cancer unit for complex and rare conditions. We offer medical and surgical care including day case chemotherapy and a comprehensive bone marrow and stem cell transplant service in conjunction with the Trust.
The Young Persons' Unit at UCH is the only private teenage cancer unit in Europe and further establishes our relationship with UCLH. The 6 bedded Unit will treat all kinds of cancers and will provide high quality care specifically for patients aged between 13 and 19. Our purpose built unit will also give patients access to educational facilities and an entertainment lounge.
Harley Street at Queen's opened at the beginning of 2010 and is our partnership with Barking, Havering and Redbridge Trust, based at Queen's Hospital Romford. It is the only private Cancer Centre of its kind in Essex and includes a dedicated High Dependency Unit and advanced radiotherapy including IMRT. Harley Street at Queen's offers world class cancer treatment closer to the community whilst maintaining links into the advanced HCA services in Central London.
The Christie Clinic, our partnership with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester, is a state of-the art private cancer centre. Located in the £35 million patient treatment centre, facilities will include 35 en-suite private rooms, ten chemotherapy chairs, advanced radiotherapy and a dedicated private patient's pharmacy.
