Position Summary:	The Neurosurgical Unit at the Wellington Hospital provides a comprehensive service for neurosurgical acute neuromedical and spinal patients. All the ancillary services needed for neurological diagnosis, including neuroradiology and neurophysiology, are available on site. In addition, there are specialist physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy services. There is a close link with the now well-established rehabilitation department.
General Responsibility:	To assess, plan, deliver and implement a high standard of nursing care, for the neurosurgical complex spinal and neuromedical patient. To respond to individual needs and demonstrate excellent nursing practice, be a role model and resources for junior staff.
Requirements	* Registered Nurse Level 1 * NMC Registration * The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years post registration * Mentorship course would be an advantage * Good verbal and non verbal communication
