Position Summary: The Neurorehabilitation Unit at the Wellington Hospital is seeking a motivated nurse to join the interdisciplinary team. The main purpose of this role is to assess, plan, and deliver a high standard of nursing care.
General
Responsibility:

As Deputy to the Sister/Charge Nurse you will assess, plan and deliver care to meet patients and family needs. Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and to be accountable for own actions. Undertake extended role such as IV cannulation, phlebotomy. Promote good communication amongst staff and all team members. Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Supervise and direct junior staff, promoting a learning environment. Respect and ensure privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements * Registered Nurse Level 1
* NMC Registration
* Mentorship Certificate
* The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years post registration with
some experience in Rehabilitation and medical management
* Good verbal and non verbal communication
* Health and safety training
* Manual Handling
* Able to do internal rotation
