Position Summary:	Busy theatre department comprising of 11 theatres requires an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Informatics Facilitator (CIF). The key requirements for this post are a clinical background, an understanding of CSSD classification of procedures and usage of Meditech. You must posses good communication and interpersonal skills and be a team player. Working with the Theatre Co-ordinators you will provide support, training and documentation for all theatre staff ensuring competence and compliance for department inventories, default or consultant preference cards, patient profiles and HCA standard charge codes. You will also assist in setting up, testing and maintaining any new software change to the existing theatre module.
General Responsibility:	The successful candidate will be responsible for:- • The up date of Preference Cards • Checking staff Verification of Profiles • Checking of Unbilled items • Requesting of Prosthetics Codes not set up in Meditech • Submission of SWS requisitions available on Meditech to be submitted to materials within 24 hours • Submission of SWS orders to Materials department with in the calendar month. • Ensuring that the SWS requisition matches vendor invoice. • All prosthetic items used to be matched up with items charged to ensure accuracy of revenue capture • Reconciliation of Procedures and Prosthesis charged from day book to Daily Charge Report • Revenue capture • Training of Theatre Staff as required to extend knowledge and enhance performance in revenue capture, competent profile verification and general usage of Meditech • Work with cross site CIF’s and Power Users on creating appropriate training material • Monthly review of 10 theatre cases – Profile vs Medical Records to ensure accurate charging and record keeping.
Requirements	• First level Registered Nurse or Registered Operating Department Practitioner • Clinical theatre experience at a senior level • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with multidisciplinary team.
