Position Summary:	C. £19500 Position advertised: 3rd March 2010 The Outpatients department at the London Bridge hospital is looking for a Phlebotomist. The post holder will be required to work 5 out of 7 days which includes working weekends.
General Responsibility:	The main purpose of the role is to assist clinical staff in providing nursing care of the highest quality to patients this will include performing the skill of phlebotomy with safety and accuracy there is an expectation at a level 3 NVQ that you will be able to teach students and staff members Phlebotomy. Additional duties in line with the job description will be assisting in providing a range of support services to Consultant suite holders, under the supervision of clinical staff, and to perform administrative duties, as required, and facilitate the smooth running of the department
Requirements	The requirements for this position will be for the prospective candidate to have had significant previous phlebotomy experience with a level 3 in NVQ health care. In addition to this they must have evidence of formal training. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The candidate must be familiar with Blood tests / medical terminology and ideally have meditech experience.
