Position Summary: The Patient Administration Department of this prestigious London Hospital is looking for an experienced Patient Administration Assistant. Applicants should be of smart appearance with a good level of education. Experience should include admissions, reservations, cashiering, general patient accounts knowledge and customer service skills. Computer literacy is of importance but training of the Hospital System will be provided. The successful candidate will work on a rota basis which will include some weekends. A flexible and friendly approach is necessary in order to become part of this successful and hardworking team.
General
Responsibility:

•To liaise with patients, consultants, third parties and the general public on all aspects of admission and care, including scheduling and financial aspects.
•To check credit worthiness and medical insurance cover.
•To produce accurate and timely invoices for services received.
•To check room availability for admissions.
•Book any necessary tests/investigations.
•To maintain accurate and up to date information on the databases.
•Maintain up to date knowledge on price agreements and billing methods.
•To inform patients of procedures prior to admission.
•Receive monies/credit transactions and record.
•Liaise with embassies regarding facilities and special needs of patients.
•Answer telephone and written enquiries.
•To undertake rotational role, encompassing all duties within patient administration.

Requirements Previous patient administration experience is required.
Good level of education and computer literacy.
Well spoken and of smart appearance.
