Position Summary: The section consists of Bacteriology and Serology. It is well equipped with Vitek 2’s, BacT/ALERT Blood Culture, T.B Culture, urine and semen analysers, Vidas, Triturus SIEMENS Centaurs and Roche Amplicor.

General
Responsibility:

You will be required undertake the speedy and accurate processing of samples, the interpretation and validation of results and to assist the section head as required. You will be participation in a multi- disciplinary night shift including weekends and you must have the ability to work on your own or as part of a team. There will be requirement to assist in both Microbiology and Serology at various times.

Salary circa £36,000 dependant on experience
Requirements You must be an experienced HPC registered biomedical scientist.
You must have the ability to work on your own or as part of a team
FIBMS or MSc in the relevant field is desirable.
Further professional development and maintaining CPD portfolio is encouraged.
