Position Summary: • To act as a role model and expert practitioner.
• To facilitate the development of all staff within the Paediatric team.
• To be involved in the development of clinical protocols and care pathways.
• To promote an innovative and progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence based practice.
General
Responsibility:

• Be a competent, knowledgeable and visible practitioner within the specialty.
• Develop and review policies and standards for the safe use of equipment and any new equipment introduced to the department and develop competencies for all staff to achieve.
• Develop and maintain the clinical skills of the nursing staff.
