Position Summary: To oversee the running of the Cochlear Implant programme to ensure appropriate assessments & evaluations are conducted. Also to ensure appropriate follow up care is given to Cochlear Implant patients by the CI team.

This post requires responsibility for investigation requests, from a variety of external users. Diagnostic audiometry including neuro-otology examinations and management where requested with reports. Primarily involved with paedaitric tests, the postholder is required to supplement and assist in the Adult testing on a regular basis. Advanced vestibular function testing and electrophysiology form a part of the work profile.
General
Responsibility:

To liaise with surgeons & healthcare professionals to give patients the appropriate care.

To ensure staff are adequately trained & competent working with Cochlear implant patients.

Requirements MSc Audiology or equivalent

MSc Speech & Language or equivalent

At least few years post qualification experience with Cochlear Implants

To provide wide range of Audiometric Vestibular & Electrophysiological investigations

Adult Diagnostics preferred

Paediatric experience essential

Demonstrate good organizational skills

Ability to work under pressure

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
