Position Summary: To provide a high quality service to all departments in the supply and purchasing of supplies and equipment.
To supervise the assistants and provide support to the Materials Manager
General
Responsibility:

•To ensure all departments are issued with the correct items on a ’just in time’ basis

•Ensure that all stock leaving the stores is accounted for and recorded on the computerised stock system

•Liaise with departments on ‘out of stock’ items and arrange for alternatives

•To ensure non-stock items are processed and dispatched to the relevant department

•To monitor items in bulk stores, checking expiry dates and consultant preferences etc

•To maintain accurate records and stock checks to assist in monthly and annual financial reporting

•Oversee day to day running of the stores and supervision of staff with regard to job allocation, timekeeping and service standards
Requirements • Good level of basic education
•Previous purchasing experience, in similar environment desirable
•Numerate
•Good verbal and communication skills
•Supervisory skills
•Accuracy and attention to detail
•Computer skills
•Good team player
•Customer care skills
