Position Summary: The Harley Street Clinic is looking to recruit an experienced senior paediatric nurse to lead a dedicated paediatric oncology team. The Senior Sister will lead the nursing team in the delivery of chemotherapy, supportive and palliative care for children with a range of oncology and haemato-oncology diseases. The Senior Sister will support the development of the service, practice development and establishing links with the cancer network.
General
Responsibility:

The Senior sister will ensure that the nursing rota reflects the skill mix required to deliver care and will ensure that the patients and families are supported through out their treatment by trained and competent nursing staff and support staff. The
role will require a sound knowledge of chemotherapy and symptom control as well as an extensive paediatric background. The role will require excellent leadership qualities and an understanding of budget management.

Requirements -Experience in chemotherapy administration, central line care and the care of oncology
patients is essential.
-Experience in leading a team is desirable.
-Extensive paediatric experience, preferable including an acute speciality is essential.
