Position Summary: A new post has arisen for a GP Liaison Officer to join the team at 3 central independent London hospitals, the Princess Grace Hospital, the Portland Hospital and the Harley Street Clinic. Delivering exceptional customer care; excellent communication skills with both healthcare professionals and the general public; outstanding organisational abilities and working on your own initiative are essentials for this role. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role in the healthcare sector, a basic understanding of marketing and sales techniques, knowledge of database systems, and the ability to work in a busy and growing area of the hospital's business.

Main aim of the role:

To increase the private referrals by GP’s into the 3 hospitals by;

• Building strong relationships with GP’s and their practice staff.
• Closely liaising with the 3 hospitals to ensure you have an overall knowledge base of all the treatments and specialities that each hospital provides and communicating this to the GP’s.
• Creating an atmosphere of trust.
• Providing solutions to referring GP’s by offering a rapid access and streamlined process for their private patients.

To assist in the GP post graduate programme.
General
Responsibility:

 To visit and establish strong relationships with GP's and practice staff
 To promote the hospital's regular consultant users and the hospital's services to practice staff
 To be familiar with inpatient and outpatient booking procedures throughout the hospitals
 To maintain close relations with outpatient Head of Departments and inpatient Ward Managers so that the post holder is always up-to-date with hospital service developments
 Feeding back to hospital staff how GP's and practice staff view their services with the aim of constantly improving our service offering
 To assist the CEOs and marketing staff in promoting the hospital
 To assist in the preparation and planning of the marketing plan, budgets and literature
