Position Summary: This is a senior, high profile post which is key to the operational management of London Bridge Hospital. Taking the lead for both Infection Control and Health Safety the post holder will be experienced, knowledgeable, have clinical credibility and be able to work autonomously. It is recognised that ongoing professional development, training and education will be necessary to enable the post holder to manage this exciting dual role, and the resources are in place to support it. While based at LBH there are opportunities to work across all six HCA hospitals, to provide training to others and to gain real job satisfaction by making effective changes in the work place.

Requirements Main responsibilities

* To work as part of clinical nursing team for the monitoring, surveillance and investigation of infections

* To provide advice and support in all matters relating to infection control and health and safety

* Ensuring that education of both infection control and health and safety issues are addressed and planned.

* To lead and drive forward the overall Health & Safety programme
